Actively Reading Harvard Journal
To read a long and somewhat boring article can be quite the hassle creating a constant need for distraction and the misunderstanding of the text being read. it is not often that a person will encounter a passage or an article that will interest them. I, for example are one of the many. To cope with this, i have a method that can cut down the reading time, while retaining the main facts.for one i read the table of contents if there is any. then I go to the beginning and end of the passage to find out the purpose of the article and the conclusion to find out why am i expected to read such a boring passage. Because i know the purpose of the passage i can now skim through each paragraph to find out the main details. this helped with reading the Harvard journal of Law and Technology by allowing the ease of understanding the purpose of understanding the article. Persoanlly, it did not serve too much use due to the fact that i was somewhat interested in understanding the deterrence and countermeasures of cyber security in any case however, it helped find important deatils that most people could have missed.
